2002 CONTEMPORARY PORTRAIT
The Friday afternoon series of lectures referred to as "The Grand Heritage of Portraiture" developed in association with Nelson Shanks was captivating. On Saturday at the Met, Richard Schmid and John Sanden gave wonderful presentations and Nelson beautifully painted actress Marisa Tomei, who was a stunning model. Saturday evening Kip Forbes gave a slide talk prior to our awarding the talented winners of our International Portrait Competition. More details coming soon.
